This graduate certificate program fulfills three federally mandated requirements for
students looking to advance their career or transition into the environmental health
and safety field while providing a recognized graduate credential from a research
university. There is no entrance exam required, and the graduate certificate is federal
financial aid eligible.
This graduate certificate is the only one of its kind in Oklahoma. It incorporates certification requirements from three federal agencies:
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
U.S. Occupational, Safety & Health Administration (OSHA)
U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT)
OSU is the only university in the State of Oklahoma that offers all of these certifications
for graduate credit, and this program is currently only available at OSU-Tulsa. Each
course is designed to also meet and fulfill federal and state environmental, safety
and transportation regulations.
